Job Summary

We are looking for an engineer who can straddle the Software Engineering and Quality Assurance disciplines and help us ensure the quality of such applications.  Among other things, this will involve extending a test framework which can drive hundreds of thousands of automated calls through our virtual assistant systems, identifying and statistically ranking unexpected behaviors, evaluating accuracy, and ensuring proper on-site telephone system integration.  This role may be expanded to include other development responsibilities, as skills and needs warrant.

If you have strong software engineering skills, verifiable experience in both automated and manual complex system testing, experience in data reduction and statistical analysis, like to analyze system behavior, solve puzzles, are not afraid to dive in and learn new technologies, and have a passion for producing quality products that help customers, we want to talk to you.


  • Analyze existing call test framework, design and implement improvements to that framework to extend its capabilities
  • Work closely with the development team to understand the design spec and ensure that development is on-track to meet agreed upon requirements
  • Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools such as Selenium
  • Report and track software bugs and/or unexpected software behavior
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved


  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject (sharp new graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Proven working experience in software quality assurance
  • Experience in writing complex SQL queries
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment and as part of a team
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Programming experience is also highly preferred
  • Experience testing telephony applications desirable
